She holds a BA in Math and Computer Science from McGill University and a MS in Computer Science from Brown University. In her free time, she enjoys running, lifting, reading and cooking.

Jackie CygelmanJackie Cygelman is a Senior Quality Engineer at Slalom Build. She graduated from Tufts University in 2013 where she majored in Applied Mathematics and minored in Computer Science. After graduating, she was a part of an analyst program in the fintech industry where she worked in quality engineering with an emphasis on performance testing. Since joining Slalom Build, she has focused on building automation tests for custom software products for clients; blending her passion for software engineering and user experience into one. Outside of Slalom, Jackie spends her time cooking, running, hiking, and hanging out with her fat cat.

Whitney PatesWhitney Pates is a software delivery expert for Slalom Build where she builds solutions and leads software delivery teams. As a Consultant Solution Owner at Slalom Build, she fulfills multiple roles as product owner, program manager, Scrum master, and project manager. Her current focus is working on large-scale, cloud-based data transformation projects. Prior to joining Slalom, she spent ten years working in financial services and worked with software development teams across the globe. In her spare time, Whitney enjoys gardening, pilates and yoga, skiing, and re-learning the piano.

Carbon Black - Flask Tutorial
Abi HertzAbi Hertz has been working as a SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst for the past three years at Carbon Black. She graduated from Boston University with a BA in Computer Science and a minor in Dance in 2016. She has obtained both her GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler) and GREM (GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware) certifications and is studying for her GCFE (GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner) certification. Her favorite things to do at work include threat hunting, threat intelligence processing, malware analysis, intrusion detection, and incident handling. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, playing guitar, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places.

Raina GalbiatiRaina Galbiati is a Software Engineer at Carbon Black where she works on a backend team developing Live Query. She grew up in Boulder, Colorado and moved to Boston for college. Raina graduated from Tufts in 2018 with a degree in Computer Science. Outside of work, she is interested in cyber security policy and green technology. She enjoys skiing, backpacking, cooking, and traveling. Raina is also a member of the Polish National Softball team. Previously, Raina worked with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on the high-performance computing team.

Deanna BarisDeanna Baris is a Software Engineer at Carbon Black. She graduated from Tufts University in 2018 with a degree in Computer Science and Architectural Studies. At Carbon Black, Deanna works as a developer on the Linux endpoint team, contributing to agent production code as well as the test automation quality stack. She previously worked in the housing department at the City of Cambridge designing tools for eviction data collection and analysis. Deanna is particularly interested in the cybersecurity and privacy challenges at the intersection of technology and urban planning. When she’s offline, you usually find her running, rock climbing, making her own clothes, or outside with a good book.

Alexis GoodfellowAlexis Goodfellow is a software engineer at Wayfair on a team which develops Python software development infrastructure for use across the whole organization. Before that, she was a software engineer at Arista Networks, where she wrote testing code to ensure that Arista's implementation of the IPSec protocol was both correct and performant. Alexis earned her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tufts University in May of 2018, and she is excited to have the opportunity to come back and speak at her alma mater. When she isn't programming, she enjoys composing and playing music, running role playing games, recreational mathematics, and volunteering with LGBT-focused non-profits.
